OVSD-CSEA Negotiations Update
On May 20, 2010 OVSD and CSEA reached a tentative contractual agreement for 2009-10 and 2010-11. Pending approval by the CSEA Field Office (610 Policy) a copy of the complete agreement will be available at each site sometime the week of May 24, 2010. The CSEA ratification meeting is tentatively set for June 3, 2010, time and location will be forthcoming. The Ocean View Board of Trustees will vote on approval of the agreement following CSEA ratification. A copy of the agreement is linked below.

OVSD-OVTA Negotiations Completed
On March 31, 2010 OVSD and OVTA reached a tentative contractual agreement for 2009-10 and 2010-11. I was impressed with the level of professionalism demonstrated by both negotiation teams and believe that as we continue to navigate through the state fiscal crisis and the ever-more alarming reductions to our school funding, Ocean View School District and our Teachers' Association will continue to work as a team to provide the best academic program for our students and minimize the impact of budget cuts to our highly qualified and dedicated staff.
